Kranjska Gora, known for Alpine skiing, nestled in the middle of the beautiful peaks of Mount Triglav, is one of the most important and best developed tourist centres in Slovenia. The town is rich in natural beauty but also cultural monuments such as the late-Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and an interesting ethnographic collection housed in the 17th century Liznjek House.
