The coastline of Cavallino Treporti is a long and fertile peninsula between Venice and Jesolo that stretches for 15 kilometres and is distinguished by the environment of great naturalistic importance in which the long golden beach, the dunes, the pinewood, the vegetable gardens and the fascinating lagoon landscape with its canals, sandbanks, veils and fishing valleys. The territory is also characterized by the system of Austrian and Italian fortifications consisting of forts, batteries, telemetric towers, barracks and bunkers, among which stands out the Treporti Fort, built by the Austrians in the second half of the 19th century.
